In Windows 10, you may notice your Quick Access shortcuts have disappeared and it won’t even allow you to pin new shortcuts to the Quick Access location in File Explorer.
This is actually a pretty easy fix and it does not require a reboot once completed.
1. In File Explorer, go to %AppData%MicrosoftWindowsRecentAutomaticDestinations and delete all the files here.
2. Then, navigate to this directory: %AppData%MicrosoftWindowsRecentCustomDestinations and delete all the files there as well.
3. Now go back to your File Explorer window and try to pin your frequently used locations back to the Quick Access bar.
4. To pin a location to your Quick Access bar, in File Explorer, right click the location and simply select “Pin to Quick Access”.
5. CELEBRATE!
